Suddenly, the end of yet another semester is here! Indeed not just the end of a semester, but the end of another year. Strenuous as the semester promised to be, it has come to an end. Tough times never last, only tough people do. We wish you the best in your examinations.

May we remind you before you proceed on your well-deserved vacation that all books borrowed must be returned. Please check the due date on all the library books borrowed and make sure you return them as advised.

Welcome to New Academic Session!

The Extension Service Unit [ESU] of the University of Botswana Library wishes to welcome you to the beginning of a new academic session. Though late in coming, better late than never, goes the saying! We particularly wish to congratulate the new students who have just enrolled for any of the credit or non credit programme of the Centre for Continuing Education. The ESU shall serve you and endeavour to meet your library and information needs. We have obtained the email addresses of those who left theirs with the Centre for Continuing Education during the time of registration. We shall use these email addresses to reach and inform you of the services that are available for you. REPROGRAPHIC SERVICE NOW AVAILABLE

For a fairly long time now, there has not been photocopying facility at the CCE North Library. We are however happy to inform you that the service is now available and that it is done on a self-service basis. Photocopying cards for reprographic service are available for purchase after paying a minimum of 5 pula at the Cashier`s Office. You will also need to buy units into the card. BOOKS AT PALAPYE & MAUN TECHNICAL COLLEGES

In order to take care of the learning and information needs of part time and distance education students of the University outside Francistown and Gaborone centres, we have deposited some relevant materials at some of the Technical College libraries for your use. In particular the materials are presently available at the Maun, and Palapye Technical Colleges. Efforts are being made to place materials at Selebi Phikwe and Jwaneng Technical Colleges for the students living in and around those locations. Students are encouraged to make good use of these materials, which are issued out by the college librarians.

BOOK WITHDRAWALS AT CCE NORTH LIBRARY

In order to create more shelf space and maintain a relevant and useful collection, the CCE North library has engaged in withdrawal of some materials from the shelf. All materials withdrawn from the shelves have been placed in the store room and are still available for your use. A list of these materials has been compiled. Should you need to use any of the materials, please feel free to contact the library staff at the desk and this will be availed to you.
